SEND Information Report
Our SEND Information Report explains how St Michael’s identifies, assesses and supports pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). It outlines the provision available in school, how we work in partnership with families and professionals, and how we support pupils to participate fully in school life and achieve their individual potential.
The report is reviewed and updated annually to reflect our current provision.
Our Graduated Response
At St Michael’s, we follow a graduated response of Assess, Plan, Do, Review. This is an ongoing cycle used to understand a pupil’s strengths and needs, plan and provide appropriate support, review the impact of that support and agree the next steps.
Support is graduated according to need and may be adapted, increased, reduced or stepped back in response to the progress a pupil makes.

Our graduated response works alongside our Early Identification process, which explains how emerging needs and concerns are identified and responded to at the earliest opportunity.
