Computing
At St Michael’s CE Primary School, our Computing curriculum equips children with the knowledge, skills and confidence to thrive in an increasingly digital world. Through a carefully sequenced curriculum delivered using Kapow Primary, pupils develop their understanding of computer systems and networks, programming, data handling, digital media and online safety. As they progress through the school, children learn to think computationally, solve problems, create digital content and use technology purposefully, creatively and responsibly. Online safety is embedded throughout the curriculum, ensuring pupils understand how to stay safe and show respect within digital communities. Through practical, engaging learning experiences, pupils build resilience, independence and critical thinking skills, enabling them to become confident, responsible and capable users of technology who are well prepared for the next stage of their education.
